One suspect who was being chased by the police killed Richard Martin who was a police Officer within Houston. According to Chief Charles McClelland, the Houston Police Chief, the suspect struck the officer intentionally while he was trying to place spike strips so as to stop his vehicle.

Richard left behind his son, Tyler Martin who is 11 years of age and there is something the Houston Police Department wants him to know – his father died a heroic death. While reporting to KHOU TV, HPD Lt. Paul George said they wanted his son to be told that his father had died while bravely serving the nation.

So as to achieve that, these cops decided to reveal that by attending a little baseball game. They showed up in a helicopter and did something that proved that they are always ready to go an extra mile beyond their usual service of protecting citizens.

The video below covers all the things that the cops did on the day to show their last respect to one of their own – a fallen hero!
